Stellaria graminea, commonly known as Grass-leaved Stitchwort, is a delicate, herbaceous perennial native to Europe and parts of Asia, and now naturalized in many regions of North America. It typically grows 12 to 24 inches tall and is recognized by its slender stems, narrow grass-like leaves, and small white flowers with deeply divided petals. Blooming from spring through summer, it thrives in open, sunny areas such as grasslands, roadsides, and woodland edges. Although not aggressive, it can spread by creeping stems and seed. This species is part of the pink family (Caryophyllaceae) and contributes to plant diversity in lightly managed habitats.
