Member of the Acanthaceae family.  Limestone wild petunia reaches a height of 1-3 feet tall, and it grows in various areas such as woodlands across the central and eastern United States.  Its leaves are opposite in arrangement and ovate/lanceolate in shape.  Flowers are blue-violet in color, the corolla starting narrowly in a tubular shape and spreading out into 5 lobes.  Limestone wild petunia blooms from May-October.
