Ground ivy, also sometimes called gill-over-the-ground, or creeping Charley, is of the Lamiaceae family and considered invasive. It is a perennial with creeping runners and forms loose mats. Flowers are blue-violet or red-violet. Found in lawns, disturbed areas, woods of many counties, blooming April - August.
