Perhaps one of the most well-known herbs in traditional medicine and used in antiquity. Greek and Roman sources record that garlic (and its onion cousins) was used as a panacea for stomach and nervous system disorders, in the sterilization of wounds as an antiseptic, and for myriad respiratory ailments. It’s also delicious.
